The official nonprofit for the Department of the Air Force, AFAS provides financial assistance in the form of an interest-free loan or grant to help with a variety of emergencies, including basic living expenses such as rent or utility bills, medical or dental bills, special needs (EFMP) expenses, education support, and community programs to support all Airmen and Guardians.
