Stephanie Rundle
Advocacy in Action
Stephanie Rundle is a seasoned educator, military spouse, and military-child advocate whose career spans elementary classrooms, curriculum coaching, and preschool program development. With a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and years of hands-on experience, she has a deep understanding of sequential skill acquisition, learning that ensures children build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math.
Her professional expertise is matched by her personal journey as a military spouse and mother of three military-connected students. Teaching in schools across the country, Stephanie experienced firsthand how frequent moves and shifting curricula disrupted learning. Her daughters navigated multiple school changes, each with different expectations and programs. The result was fragmented learning, gaps in foundational skills, and misaligned curriculum that made reading, writing, and math harder to master and required constant rebuilding of confidence and progress. For one of her daughters, each transition revealed the harsh consequences of fragmentation: falling further behind where she should have been.
Determined to address this challenge, she founded Bridge and Banner™, (a fiscally sponsored project of Veterans Collaborative) dedicated to addressing academic continuity and skill fragmentation for PK–5th–grade students. Bridge & Banner™ equips educators and families with the Continuity Plan’s targeted resources and strategies to ensure that learning builds step by step, without gaps that compromise future success.
Stephanie’s mission is clear: to spotlight the urgent need for continuity in skill development across early grades. She champions the idea that educational success is built not on fragmented experiences, but on carefully connected steps that honor the whole child.
