Rachel has been a military spouse for 17 years, and her husband, Donald, has served in 2 of our 6 armed forces of the military: first, in the U.S. Air Force, and now, the U.S. Space Force. As such, she has been both a proud Air Force and Space Force Spouse!

Donald and Rachel have been blessed with 3 wonderful boys. Rachel has both homeschooled and worked remotely–all at the same time! In addition, the Johnson Family has moved 7 times, all over our great Nation.

"Settling into a new home 7 times, has not been easy. However, with time, we always begin to put down roots, explore our new community, and make connections with new friends and neighbors. To our family and other military families, these are the ordinary things that make us military: moving frequently, plugging into a new community, learning how to adapt to different cultures, and striving to thrive where we are planted. But the fact is these are the things that make us the extraordinary community that we are."
