Continuum of Resources and Education (CORE)

CORE is a volunteer spouse-led Naval Services FamilyLine program which offers seminars, workshops, and presentations dedicated to empowering Navy spouses, educating their families, and promoting the sea service lifestyle. CORE offers resources and education on topics which are applicable and enriching to the sea service spouse community at large. Occasionally, seminars and workshops may be customized to serve specific groups such as CO/XO/CMC/COB spouses, Command Ombudsman, CPO selectee spouses, EFMP families, etc. Content is presented both virtually and at in-person events.

Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP)

The Navy's Family Readiness programs have been afforded the highest visibility, advocacy, and priority. In practical terms, this has resulted in increased services to family members, increased individual assistance and consultation, more varied educational programs, and a more proactive outreach, and delivery of family support services. The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) is organized into four main functional areas critical to mission success.

Anchored4Life

Anchored4Life is a peer-to-peer club to connect youth while building change and resiliency skills. The club provides opportunities for peers to enhance social skills, learn leadership skills, build character, improve self-esteem, and integrate into their community. Youth will learn these change and resiliency skills using the Club features.

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides sailors and Marines, their families and surviving dependents with financial, educational and emergency assistance. The NMCRS has offices on or near most U.S. Navy and Marine Corps installations.

School Liaison Officer (SLO)

When it’s time to relocate, SLOs are here to help the transition go as smoothly as possible for your children. With Navy families moving every three years on average, a student can attend up to nine different schools by graduation. SLOs help families with children in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. They assist with everything from a school transfer and homeschool support, to meeting graduation requirements. Getting in contact with your local SLO as soon as possible will take out lots of guesswork for you as the parent.

Youth Sponsorship Program

For our elementary, preteen, and teen community, the Youth Sponsorship Program adds in an element of social support. SLOs strive to make contact with youth before they move, so when they arrive, they can immediately connect with peers who are already participating in the installation, school, or community programs. Connect through your School Liaison Officer for School-Based Programs and your Youth Program for installation programs.

Wings Over America (WoA)

WoA is an organization whose mission is to provide college scholarships to dependent children and spouses of all US Navy personnel- officer and enlisted – active duty, retired, honorably discharged or deceased who served within Naval Air Forces. Recipients are selected on the basis of scholastic merit, community service, extracurricular activities and character.
